top ten tuesday -- ten books from our childhood/teen years we'd like to revisit

Can't believe it's already Tuesday again! Time just flies by at the moment. This week it's top ten books from our childhood/teen years we'd like to revisit. To be honest, I could fill up most of this list with the Harry Potter books but I will restrain myself, I promise. 

1. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. Yeah, I said I would restrain myself, not exclude them from the list :P
2. The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien. I loved this book and read the whole trilogy in less than a week. 
3. Pawn of Prophecy by David Eddings. It's the first book in the Belgariad series and this along with the rest of the books is just pure brilliance. 
4. Guardian of the West by David Eddings. This is the first book in the sequel series to the Belgariad, and this whole series is also pure brilliance. 
5. Polgara the Sorceress by David Eddings. I had a period in my life when I devoured Eddings books. Loved them.
6. The Black Stallion by Walter Farley. Horses were one of my biggest passion as a child/teen so I've read many horse books in my life. 
7. Small Gods by Terry Pratchett. This was the first book of Pratchett's that I read and it made me fall helplessly in love with the Discworld.
8. Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren. I loved everything about Pippi and wanted to be her. Still have all the books.
9. The Brother's Lionheart by Astrid Lindgren. I still cry every time I read the book or see the film. Adore this book so much. 
10. The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. I remember loving this book mostly because of the symbols and hidden codes.

So that's my top ten. Weird combinations in there, but those are the books that I wouldn't mind reading over and over again or be able to scrub from my mind so I can read them without any expectations.

Top ten tuesday -- books on our spring tbr list!

It is Tuesday again! Time for another list from the brokeandbookish! Yey! This week it is books on my spring tbr list, and there are many of those, rest assured. 

1. The Maze Runner by James Dashner. It has honestly been too long on my shelf, but since my future reading is decided through my tbr jar, I will see when the jar finally decides it's time for me to read it. 
2. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. It seems like everybody likes this series, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. 
3. Divergent by Veronica Roth. I cannot believe that I haven't read this series yet and it is my goal to finish it this year. 
4. Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. 
5. Frostfire by Amanda Hocking. I loved the Trylle Trilogy so I'm totally looking forward to reading this book. 
6. Legend by Marie Lu. 
7. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo.
8. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. 
9. The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.
10. A Burnable Book by Bruce Holsinger.

That's the list. What 90% of these have in common is that they are currently collecting dust on my shelf and should have been read ages ago. So they are definitely on my spring tbr list along with so many other books. So many books so little time.

Top Ten Tuesday -- all time favorite books from the past 3 years

1. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I absolutely love this book. It's hilarious and still something that I felt that I could really relate to. Such a brilliant story and I just love Rainbow Rowell.
2. Attachments by Rainbow Rowell. Same reasons as the previous one. Rowell has just after two books (that I've read) become one of my favourite authors.
3. The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins. This whole trilogy is just fantastic. Horrific, but fantastic. 
4. Witches Abroad by Terry Pratchett. Terry Pratchett is my favourite author and I had to stop myself from just making this list a list of Mr Pratchett's books. The witches are my favourite characters and this book was so lovely from start to finish. 
5. Generation Kill by Evan Wright. This is such an important book and one that I think that everyone should read. 
6. Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier. I loved this book. The idea of time travel is thrilling and I think it was dealt with in a very original and fantastic way in this book. 
7. The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas. I cannot believe that it took me so many years to finally read this book. It is a classic that everyone should read during their lifetime.
8. Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix. I usually don't like horror stories, but this is amazing. I loved it and the fact that it's made just like a IKEA catalogue. 
9. Night Watch by Terry Pratchett. Like I said, I love Mr Pratchett. This books was hilarious but still dealt with some darker themes. Brilliant combination.
10. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. This book hurt to read. It's fantastic, but it hurt. 

I wish I remembered to do these lists every Tuesday. But I always remember them on Wednesday's. So annoying, but at least I remembered today!

Top Ten Tuesday: 10 books released in 2014 I never go round to reading
